Description

The Mouse PGF2α(Prostaglandin F2 Alpha) EIA Kit is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This ELISA test kit or EIA Enzyme immuno assay is an enzyme linked immuno assay supplied as coated 96 well plates with antigen or antibody and needs to be stored at +4°C.

Test

Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.

Test principle

This EIA kit uses the Competitive-EIA principle. The micro EIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Mouse PGF2α. During the reaction, Mouse PGF2α in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of Mouse PGF2α on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to Mouse PGF2α. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) are added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of Mouse PGF2α in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
